David Harris

David Harris is a 30-year educator with experience in private, public and charter schools. He currently teachers 8th grade history at Providence Day School in Charlotte, North Carolina, and is the Middle School Equity, Inclusion and Belonging co-coordinator. David is the co-founder of the Charlotte People of Color in Independent Schools, an organization that seeks to support and uplift BIPOC educators in the Charlotte area. He is a former member of the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS) Board of Trustees, and currently serves as a member of the Educator Advisory Board of the Levine Museum of the New South in Charlotte.
