Dr. James E. Ford
Dr. James E. Ford is an award-winning educator and one of the leading voices on equity in public education. Originally from Rockford, Illinois, Dr. Ford began his career teaching Social Studies in Rockford Public Schools and later taught World History in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, where he was named North Carolina Teacher of the Year. He is the Founding Executive Director of the Center for Racial Equity in Education, known as CREED, and has served on the North Carolina State Board of Education. Dr. Ford is also an Adjunct Professor at UNC Charlotte and a trained journalist and public speaker with deep experience in education policy and community engagement.
